Are robots enough?
A practical look at the challenges of Polish industry
Robotization is dynamically changing the landscape of the global economy, becoming a key factor in maintaining competitiveness.
Global industry leaders are innovating, while there is growing awareness in Poland of the potential of automation as an answer to growing challenges. At the heart of the issue is the question: are robots enough to meet the demands of the modern economy?
The conference “Are Robots Enough?” is dedicated to analyzing key aspects of implementing robotization and automation in industry. Solutions that transform production and logistics processes, improve maintenance, and enable effective planning and implementation of investment projects in new technologies will be discussed using practical examples. An important point will be the evaluation of profitability and ways to measure the return on investment in robotization.
Polish industry is at a turning point – on the one hand, development opportunities are being recognized, while on the other hand, there are challenges related to limited human resources, rising labor costs and pressure for sustainability. Automation and robotization are seen as tools to solve these problems and as the foundation for building a long-term development strategy.
The conference agenda includes questions on:
- Identifying barriers to technological transformation processes.
- Identifying success factors in robotization and automation.
- Avoiding risks associated with the implementation of ambitious projects
Robotization is not only a technology, but also:
- An investment that, if properly planned, can bring significant benefits.
- A strategic and economic perspective that experts will discuss, illustrating their analysis with practical solutions.
The answer to the question of whether robots are enough will become the starting point for discussions about the future of the industry, the potential for transformation and opportunities to build competitive advantage in the global value chain.

Krzysztof Kaminski, President of the Management Board, Alnea
How to calculate the rate of return on investment in robotics and automation?
As a practitioner with many years of experience, Krzysztof Kaminski often encounters a simplified approach to calculating investments: one robot is supposed to replace one worker per shift. This results in a fairly simple calculation: monthly salary costs x number of employees x 12 months gives an annual saving on the investment. Depending on the business, a payback period of two to even five years is assumed. This is how decision-makers of manufacturing companies estimate the maximum amount they can invest in automation and robotisation.
The presentation will point out the shortcomings of this methodology and suggest additional aspects to look out for when investing in robots and automation.

Robotization and automation of processes carried out as part of a new investment, what and how to effectively negotiate in a contract to acquire or sell an industrial robot
Today, automation and robotization is an opportunity to change the quality and volume of production for Polish industry. For some companies, it's even a necessity in order to continue operating in the market. In order to develop their operations, such as their machinery park, many companies must prepare to invest in process automation, such as the purchase of their first industrial robot. This is an intricate subject, as the very choice of the form of the purchase agreement and the source of financing generates a lot of difficulties for entrepreneurs.
So how, step by step:
- optimally negotiate a contract for the lease or sale of a robot in a way that protects the interests of the customer.
- Which option to purchase a robot will be more favorable, and what to look after in terms of warranty.
- What contracts to use to lease robots instead of acquiring them?
- What are the differences between the contracts used in marketing for the acquisition of industrial robots or production lines?
- What is the importance of key contractual provisions in negotiated contracts?
- What risks may be involved in acquiring a robot from an entity that does not have a company or even a branch in Poland?
- How to protect yourself in case of problems with the operation of the robot or the financial condition of your counterparty?

Combine the LEAN-LIFT buffer warehouse with the AMR mobile robot and gain full automation of storage and transport of goods in logistics
With the rise of AI-supported robotisation and automation, more and more intralogistics processes, such as storage and flow of goods in warehouses and production, allow for full autonomy. In order to meet market needs, ISL is introducing integrated solutions based on AMR and AGV mobile robots in combination with storage automation using LEAN-LIFT racking.
These solutions allow an increase in the efficiency of logistics processes, including space savings, reduced operating times and cost reductions, especially for picking, in industries such as e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food or automotive. They also find their place in production logistics on production lines, managing components, parts, labels or tools used in these areas.
